Who we are

Moreton Bay is the third largest local government in Australia and is home to 450,000 residents. This number is projected to exceed 690,000 within the next 20 years (this means our population will be greater than in Tasmania). With a growing LGBTIQA+ community calling the region home, it’s alarming to think there are limited support services, dedicated organisations, or events catering to this community.

Thanks to the City of Moreton Bay for leading the way, we’re on a mission to change this!

Our Vision

Moreton Bay PrideFest has the vision to make Moreton Bay a happier, healthier, safer, and more culturally rich and diverse place for the LGBTIQA+ community.

We aim to empower the current and future generations to be their authentic selves and feel accepted and proud of who they are, regardless of their gender identity or sexuality.

We aspire to be a safer, more inclusive community, now and in the future.

We acknowledge the Kabi Kabi, Jinibara and Turrbal people, the traditional custodians of the land on which our celebrations takes place, and we pay our respects to indigenous elders, past, present and emerging.
