It was back in 2004 when Miss Connie and producer/DJ Angus McDonald started making beautiful music together. A series of singles at first then, in 2006, their self-titled, 3 x platinum debut album. Spearheaded by a spectacular salvo of chart topping hits – UFO, Pictures and I Love It Sneaky Sound System won ARIA Awards for Breakthrough Artist and Best Dance Release, the first of 14 nominations to-date.

Havana Brown

DJ Havana Brown has steadily taken over the charts as the first female DJ to sign a major label recording deal in Australia with the release of her Crave compilation series.

Havana toured the world as the opening act for A-List artists such as Britney Spears, Enrique Iglesias, Pitbull, Pussycat Dolls, Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Chris Brown. It was then she went on to release her 1st hit single ‘We Run the Night’ featuring Pitbull which reached Triple Platinum in Australia. The single went on to sell over 1 million units in the U.S., and hit the Top 30 on iTunes in over 30 countries across the globe. Following the success of having 4 consecutive #1 hits on the U.S Billboard Dance Charts her debut album ‘Flashing Lights’ debuted on the ARIA Albums Chart at #6 containing multi Platinum singles ‘Warrior’, and ‘Big Banana’.

Thelma Plum

Thelma Plum is a Gamilaraay woman, musician and creator. She has been making music her whole life and has told one chapter with her debut album Better in Blak a story about culture, heritage, love, and pain. With incredible strength, courage and heartbreaking tenderness, her debut album captures so deftly what it’s like to be a young Aboriginal woman in Australia. The album became one of the most successful albums of 2019, nominated for 7 Arias and spawning 3 Platinum and one Gold singles. The title track “Better in Blak” came in the top 10 of the Triple J Hottest 100, the highest result ever for an Indigenous artist at the time, as well as winning the prestigious Vanda and Young “Song of the Year” award.

Courtney Act

Boy, Girl, Artist, Advocate. Courtney Act is more than just the sum of her parts.

In 2003, Courtney made it to 13th place on the first season of Australian Idol and then signed to Sony/BMG. In 2014 she was top three on Season 6 of the Emmy Award winning RuPaul’s Drag Race before releasing her debut EP, Kaleidoscope, and touring internationally with her original show, The Girl From Oz. In 2018, Courtney was crowned the winner of Celebrity Big Brother UK educating viewers on queer issues such as gender fluidity and sexuality.


Paul Wheeler

HOSTING THE MAIN STAGE


Host extraordinaire Paul Wheeler is a familiar face of the Brisbane and wider LGBTIQAP+ community. 

Paul is the resident Trivia Host at The Wickham, hosts notable events such as Brisbane Pride, Queen’s Ball, and Big Gay Day each year, and is also Moreton Bay’s favourite MC.

A blissed-out indie pop world is where you’ll find KARLOU, weaving pop melodies of ripening into adulthood and the highs and lows of everyday life.
Expelling notions of memorable hooks and dynamic grooves, she has gone on to support the likes of The Rubens, Sycco, Hope D and most recently Mia Wray.

Beks is a holy tipped rising star who has gained media acclaim from NME Australia, Purple Sneakers, Rolling Stone and Spotify editorial support on NMF Germany, Switzerland, Asia & Australia. The Australian singer-songwriter, has consistently charted on ITunes and peaked at #3 on the global iTunes Dance Charts with Devoted. Beks has achieved two consecutive Australian ad campaigns for Channel 7’s Home and Away. Beks has supported the likes of Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Vera Blue. Her recent appearances at Suncorp Stadium, Mardi Gras, Big Gay Day and Pride Festival, have prepared her for her role & performance in Young Rock Season 2 which has just aired on HBO.

SAINT BARAE

Gold Coast indie pop outfit Saint Barae is the faithful narrator to the queer experience. Blending together shimmering indie pop with tender lyricism and a slick 90’s punk aesthetic, he’s the soundtrack to a generation’s untold coming of age story. Exploring themes of sexual identity and mental health against a backdrop of guitar driven pop bliss is his signature POV, and upcoming EP ‘salt in the
wound’ is no exception.
