Moreton Bay PrideFest is proud to announce that headspace is our 2023 Charity Partner.
For every Festival ticket sold, we will donate $5.00 to go towards LGBTIQAP+ programs in Moreton Bay.
If you want to support headspace further, you can add a donation as you purchase your tickets online.
headspace operates three branches in Moreton Bay located at Strathpine, Redcliffe, and Caboolture.
In the past 12 months, headspace has supported thousands of young people, with 34.4% of all young people using their service in Moreton Bay identifying as LGBTIQAP+, which is their largest group by far.
Thanks to the support and funds raised from Moreton PrideFest, headspace will deliver various programs specifically to benefit and support young LGBTIQAP+ living in Moreton Bay.
Make sure you drop by and say g'day to the headspace team at the Moreton Bay PrideFest.
headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation. They began in 2006, and ever since have provided early intervention mental health services to 12-25-year-olds.
Each year, they help thousands of young people, and their family and friends, access vital support through headspace services in over 154 communities across Australia, including online and phone counselling services, vocational services, and presence in schools.
headspace is committed to embracing diversity and eliminating all forms of discrimination in the provision of health services. headspace welcomes all people irrespective of ethnicity, lifestyle choice, faith, sexual orientation, and gender identity.
What they do
Headspace supports young people with mental health, physical health (including sexual health), alcohol and other drug services, as well as work and study support. With a focus on early intervention, they work with young people to provide support at a crucial time in their lives – to help get them back on track and strengthen their ability to manage their mental health in the future.
In everything they do, we aim to meet the evolving and unique needs of young people and those who support them. That’s why their youth reference groups are at the heart of their work, and they play an active role in designing, developing, and evaluating our programs.
